Side Exit PCB Unloader
Magazine-type board collection with sideways exit. Designed for inline SMT lines where end-of-line space is limited and boards must be collected perpendicular to the line direction.

Product Overview
The Side Exit PCB Unloader collects finished boards from the end of an SMT line into vertical magazine slots, with boards exiting sideways rather than straight through. This perpendicular collection direction makes it the preferred choice when the end of the production line meets a wall, aisle, or other obstruction that prevents straight-through board collection.
Boards are transferred from the conveyor into the magazine one at a time, stacking vertically. When the magazine is full, the operator removes it and inserts an empty one — the machine continues running without stopping the line. SMEMA-compatible for seamless integration with reflow ovens, wave soldering machines, and AOI systems.
Key Highlights
- Side exit collection — boards exit perpendicular to line direction, saving end-of-line space
- Magazine-type storage — vertical stacking into standard PCB magazines
- SMEMA compatible — integrates with any standard SMT line equipment
- Adjustable rail width — accommodates a range of PCB widths
- Low board stress — gentle transfer mechanism prevents board flexing or component damage
- Compact footprint — minimal floor space at end of line

Who Is the Side Exit Unloader For?
Best For
- SMT lines where the end of the line faces a wall, column, or aisle
- Factory layouts where straight-through board collection is not possible
- Standard board sizes up to 460x460mm
- Lines requiring magazine-based board collection for downstream traceability
How It Compares
- vs Inline Unloader: Side exit collects boards perpendicular to the line; inline collects straight through. Choose side exit when space at the end of the line is constrained.
- vs Dual Magazine Unloader: Side exit uses one magazine at a time; dual magazine runs two in parallel for higher capacity without line stops.
- vs OK/NG Unloader: Side exit collects all boards into one magazine; OK/NG unloader automatically sorts pass and fail boards into separate lanes.
